Christmas Luncheon

What a Wonderful Christmas Afternoon!

The festive season got off to a great start at the Irish Elders Luncheon Club Christmas Lunch on Friday, 13th December. It was a lovely afternoon where friends, old and new, came together to celebrate Christmas with good food, plenty of chat, and a bit of festive cheer.

We were especially honoured to have Sarah Mangan, the Irish Consul General for the North of England, join us. It meant a lot to have such an important figure from the Irish community with us, and Sarah’s kind words and warm presence really added to the day.

A Real Community Celebration

The room was full of smiles as people tucked into a delicious Christmas lunch. Tables were decorated with a festive touch, and it didn’t take long for everyone to settle into the Christmas spirit.

It was great to see so many familiar faces and to welcome a few new ones too. There were stories shared, a few songs sung, and plenty of laughter throughout the afternoon. Events like these are about more than just food – they’re about keeping our community close and celebrating the traditions that matter to us all.

Thank You!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. From the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to those who joined us to share in the fun, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to many more afternoons like this as we continue to come together to celebrate, support, and enjoy each other’s company.

Nollaig Shona Duit to all – wishing you a Christmas filled with joy and peace.
