On Sunday 12th January 2025, the Bolton Irish Association proudly hosted the Irish Democratic League (IDL) Annual General Meeting, bringing together Irish Associations from across the North West for an afternoon of connection, culture, and celebration.
The event was a resounding success, with members from various associations gathering to discuss important matters and plan future activities to strengthen the Irish community across the region.
Attendees were treated to a delicious buffet, followed by live entertainment that truly brought the room to life.
Entertainment Highlights
The talented Pete Mylett provided fantastic live music, creating a warm and lively atmosphere that had everyone tapping their feet.
We were also delighted to welcome a vibrant performance from the Shamrock School of Irish Dance (North West), who showcased their incredible skills and wowed the audience with their energy and passion for Irish dance.
It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces, along with new ones, all coming together to celebrate our shared Irish heritage. The event reflected the strength of our community and the importance of keeping our culture alive through gatherings like this.
While the AGM was a members-only event, it was a wonderful way to kick off the year, and we’re excited about the fantastic events we have in the pipeline for 2025.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and made this event possible. Special thanks go to Pete Mylett and the Shamrock School of Irish Dance for providing top-quality entertainment that made the afternoon even more special.
Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates on upcoming events — we have plenty more planned to bring the community together throughout the year.
Here’s to a great 2025 for the Bolton Irish Association and the wider Irish community!
